Warts

wart on skin how to treat

Warts are a skin disease that is characterized by the formation of small tumor-like growths on the surface of the skin.

The sizes of warts are various. Formations can be the size of a pin needle, and can reach the size of a ruble coin.

The disease is viral in nature and is transmitted through direct contact or through household items that are used by both sick and healthy people at the same time.

Typically, such growths cause psychological discomfort, since often the places of their localization are visible parts of the body. Warts can be treated with pharmaceutical drugs, folk remedies or hardware procedures.

Varieties of warts

  • ordinary (simple) - grayish-brown nodules of a round shape with a rough surface. These warts usually occur on the hands, face, and scalp. Widespread in both children and adults. Simple warts do not cause any pain, but are quite unpleasant from an aesthetic point of view, since they can form entire colonies of tumor-like benign formations;
  • plantar warts - occur, as their name implies, on the plantar surface. In appearance, they resemble corns, consist of filiform papillae surrounded by horny layers. The reasons why plantar warts appear include the constant pressure of shoes and the formation of an unfavorable microclimate in the area of \u200b\u200bthe soles. When walking, such formations deliver painful emotions and need adequate treatment;
  • flat warts are small nodules that barely protrude above the surface of the skin. They have a yellowish or flesh color and are most often observed in young people. Flat warts form on the hands and face. As a rule, they are absolutely painless;
  • venereal warts (condylomas) - got their name due to the fact that they are transmitted during sexual contact and affect, respectively, the external genitalia.

The main reason for the appearance of warts in humans is a viral lesion of the skin. The pathogen is transmitted to healthy people through direct contact with a carrier of the virus or through household items. In addition, skin sweating, minor injuries, burns, and some other factors can contribute to the disease. So, for example, plantar warts are easy to pick up while visiting the pool or shower in the gym.

Treatment of warts

Currently, methods of combating warts are usually divided into medical and surgical. The former involve the use of ointments, the use of antiviral drugs, applications of destructive chemicals. All such actions have a relatively low efficiency and can only help in the event of the appearance of single formations, and even then at the earliest stages. For this reason, the modern treatment of warts is based on the use of surgical methods, which, in turn, are divided into:

  • surgical;
  • methods of cryodestruction;
  • radio wave surgery;
  • operations carried out with the help of laser technology.

The first two methods are characterized by painful operation and a long healing period. In addition, if used incorrectly, they can lead to scarring and the reappearance of warts. Radio wave and laser surgery overcome these shortcomings and offer patients a quick, bloodless and painless treatment for warts on the hands, soles and other parts of the body.

Warts - folk treatment

The people have a variety of recipes for getting rid of unpleasant skin growths. Here are the most popular of them:

  • plantar warts are easily removed by applying to them a cake made from a clove of garlic, 1 teaspoon of vinegar essence and wheat flour. Apply a small amount of this test to the wart and fix it with a plaster or bandage. The bandage is removed after 2-3 hours. If it has not gone away, then the procedure for removing the wart is repeated again. Also note that small, painful dimples will appear in place of the fallen off formations. A bandage with ointment is applied to them, which is worn until the wounds are completely healed;
  • warts on the hands are quickly removed with the help of the leaves of Kalanchoe pinnate. Attach them to the warts and bandage them with a bandage. After 3-4 procedures, the warts will disappear;
  • effective mixture, which is prepared from garlic and lard. Spread it on a cloth, put it on the wart and fix the bandage with a band-aid. It is necessary to change the garlic-tallow mass every day. The course of treatment lasts 4-5 days;
  • it has been noticed that if every day the wart is rubbed with the juice of sour apples, then it will begin to decrease in size and completely disappear after about 10 days. Fresh juice of mountain ash or tomatoes has a similar effect;
  • powders from crushed cornflower seeds have a good result. They should be done daily. You can also mix the powder with lard and get an ointment for removing warts.

Remember that if you have warts, alternative treatment must be agreed with your doctor or an experienced homeopath. Do not self-medicate, as it can lead to unexpected and sometimes very unpleasant consequences.
